Particle Effects

Because the Wayward Rose team was so small, I ended up with pretty broad responsibilities at times. One of the things I'm most proud of outside of programming and design are these particle effects I created and placed throughout the game.

A small burst of particles when the player opens and closes the compass

I added falling leaves to all the levels to add to the atmosphere. Our team was really happy with how the leaves brought this level together, in particular.

An indicator for when the player can interact with something. This was part of an effort to have non-intrusive UI in the game.

A vista highlighting the firefly effects. The fireflies add to the environment, but also serve to guide the player.
